Job Description
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Department: Finance
Reports To: Accounting Manager
SUMMARY
Develops, implements and/or maintains one or a combination of general accounting systems and provides basic accounting support to ensure corporate requirements are met by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Assists with month-end & year-end close.
- Balances books periodically and prepares profit and loss, income, balance sheet statements and supporting schedules.
- Maintains receipts and disbursement reports.
- Work with Business Managers of related companies for performance explanations.
- Prepares/posts journal entries, maintains and reconciles ledger accounts.
- Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.
- Performs some basic accounts payable duties.
- Performs bank reconciliations for various accounts.
- Fixed asset processing and reporting.
- Other projects as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science in Accounting from four-year college or university; and 4+ years minimum experience in Accounting/Finance.
