Position Summary:
* Provides day-to-day leadership for the operations across all shifts.
* Monitors the total production process to ensure that safety, quality, production, and cost goals are met.
* Provides appropriate coaching and training to operating personnel to ensure that the necessary skills are developed to meet business needs.
* Reinforces the use of World Class Operations (WCO) tools (i.e. Lean Mfg, Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, etc) to deliver measurable improvements and build the WCO culture and expertise within the plant.
* Prepares and oversees the operating budget
* Supports new product initiatives to ensure vertical startups.
* Closely manages associates' recognition and discipline processes.
* Drives safety processes, operating efficiency improvements and cost reduction efforts.
* Accountable for world class product quality.
* Drives improved departmental housekeeping and workplace organization improvements.

Required Qualifications:
* BS/BA degree - Technical/Engineering, Operations or Business
* Demonstrated, proven ability to lead and develop individuals and
teams alike.
* Ability to drive sustained culture improvements and empower the
workforce.
* Capability to understand and perform root cause analysis and
problem resolution.
* Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work based on business
needs and resources.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication
skills.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively interact, influence, and
communicate with multiple levels of the organization.
* Experience with operating and expense budget development and
management.
* Proficient in computer skills such as Word, Excel, Access and
Outlook.
* Ability to manage associates across multiple shifts and ensure
continuity of operations.
Desired Qualifications:
* Two to five years of successful experience in a supervisory role in
a manufacturing environment.
* Hands-on skills related to packaging and processing equipment.
* Working knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, drives and
conveying systems.
* Experience with SAP
* Experience with capital budget development and management.
* World Class Operations skills such as Autonomous
Maintenance, Focused Improvements, Kaizen, Value Stream
Mapping, etc. Note-This is a 18-36 month position. The
candidate must be able to rotate after the assignment
