Description A Case Manager is responsible for providing case management services including concurrent review of medical records, admissions status and/or length of stay, over under utilization and resource management of quality issues. Case Managers will also work with physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop a plan for each patient from admission to discharge. Duties also include performing utilization review ensuring admissions meet criteria for appropriateness of care and medical necessity, maintains knowledge of resources and facilities available to patients and family members. Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse with at least 2 years of clinical experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor and/or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
* Uses clinical judgment to manage delivery of patient care safely and effectively.
* Promote interpersonal relations with all contacts in the hospital setting.
* Represents TravelMax in the hospital setting in a positive image by serving as a role model in quality of care delivered, manner of dress, and professionalism.
* Uses knowledge and practice in accordance with Nurse Practice Act; Standards of Nursing Practice; Standards of Patient Care; Joint Commission, state and local laws; and hospital policies.
* Proficient in the selection and management of subordinates and direct reports.
* Other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:
* Current Registered Nurse License with in the state of practice.
* Prefer three years of nursing management experience within the last five years.
* Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
* Current ACLS/PALS (per facility requirement).
* Current BLS.
